6 Easy goals important for a sound mind and body.
01 — Breathing
Diaphragmatic breathing (belly/abdominal breathing), is a simple way you can begin to make changes in your life. This can help you process anxiety, stress, fears and sleeping issues. Most of us shallow breathe during the day and aren’t aware of it. This puts your body in a constant state of fight, flight, or freeze mode which increases cortisol and stress in the body. That keeps your immune system from functioning at full capacity leaving you vulnerable to sickness and dis-ease. Diaphragmatic breathing has immediate effects including relaxation and lowering stress levels. It also reduces blood pressure, decreases depression and anxiety, can help one cope with PTSD. A 5 minute daily minimum of deep breathing is a good start.
02 — Drink Water
Most of our physical ailments and tiredness stem from dehydration. Even mild dehydration can impair brain function, mood, memory and concentration. Be sure you are getting your required intake of water daily for optimum performance. For healthy individuals without water restrictions, half of your body weight is your daily minimum.
03 — Exercise
Exercise benefits the brain and body in managing mental health, depression and your day to day mood. 30 minutes 3 times a week is the minimum to see improved results in your mental health. A few exercises you can do are walking, yoga, running, resistance training, and more. If exercise is new for you, start off with small goals and work your way up to build consistency without huge disappointments. Give yourself grace and take notes of the small wins to stay motivated!
04 — Change Your Frequency
Standard music is set to 440 Hz which is slightly out of sync with the earth’s musical Hz. A lot of times we find ourself serenaded to music that keeps us cycling in things and emotions that we need to let go of. We play these songs over and over to validate what we feel which may keep us from talking that one step forward. Music in 432 Hz visually looks like geometric symbols in bodies of water. Your body is made of geometry, so it has the capacity to bring your energetic body into balance. Your cells automatically resonate with the frequency and begin to come into alignment. Listening to 432 Hz music can instantly change your mood, bringing you to a calmer state and peace of mind. 432 Hz music has been known to have physical healing effects as well when listen to over a period of time. Are you aware that correct posture is the main component of being healthy? That aching shoulder, hip or leg just might be from your spine not being aligned. Years of bad posture can cause a numerous amount of health issues. Strengthen your core with target exercises and remember…sit up straight!
Holding your head down for long periods of time can induce depression, stress and anxiety. When we are sad our heads hang low. When you hold your head up it makes you feel confident. With either, it sends signal to your brain saying that’s what’s going on. The brain knows no different. Who would’ve thought it was something as simple as a head position?
